The Trees

A project for Eaux Claires IV, made in collaboration with Chris Kallmyer.

A simple wooden platform with a semi-transparent corrugated roof was placed in a remote section of the woods at the Eaux Claires Music & Art Festival. The stage was surrounded by 3 Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifiers, placed up in platforms in the trees at three different points, like a triangle surrounding the central stage. This allowed the audience and performers to experience the sound from the same distant space behind everyone, and also had gave performers the option of panning sound, isolating which speaker/direction the music was coming from.
