installed at The
Soap Factory in minneapolis from
april 28th - june 10th 2007. it is made mostly of objects found in MN,
coupled with a video projection in the basement and pencil drawing
drawn directly on the wall. the show was written about in several local
magazines and made the "a-list" in the minneapolis city pages.
thanks again to everyone at the soap for all of their help.
exhibited at the Kranner
Art Museum for my MFA show at the
University of Illinois. the mixed media installation
and drawing on the opposite wall work together to create one installation.
the mixed media portion took about 8 months to complete,
with
the drawing taking 7 days to draw directly on the wall.
this installation was made after making three drawings
that
influenced the construction of this work. (see them under the
drawing category).
this was an installation at the springer cultural center,
investigating the history of the original building (it was a post office)
and the intersections of current events and my interactions.
champaign, il
a three room installation at an abandoned warehouse
that used
to be a car/home audio store. the installations in the first three
images were made entirely from the materials i found on site, in an
area that used to be the car installation bay. the last three images
are from a multi-room installation in a space that used to
house the offices of the company
my first effort in a large scale installation,
constructed in my studio at the university of illinois.
